My journey to la bella vita
A house fire in 2009 was the catalyst for my own journey to a simpler life. When handed 14 pages listing things I lost in the fire, it was time to re-evaluate and determine what was most important. I decided I wanted less stuff.
With many experiences and adventures along the way, I downsized drastically, sold my last house, retired from my career, lived in Italy, then moved back to the Pacific Northwest into a cozy, minimalist apartment.
While in Italy, I fell in love with "la dolce vita," the sweet life. Simplicity, freedom from things, focus on relationships and enjoyment of life. Influenced by that lifestyle and mindset, I created Bella Vita Home Organizing to help others experience less stress, fewer things, more organization...in short, a simpler life; the good life - "la bella vita."
Years of project and events management, and relationship development gave me the confidence to start my own organizing business. I am passionate about transforming disorganized clutter into tidy and organized spaces.
I especially love helping people downsize - in preparation for transitioning to a smaller space, or just because they want less things. I've owned five houses in my life, drastically downsizing with each move. Now living in 400 sf has given me many small-space solutions and ideas that I love to share with others. It is possible to live with less stuff and LOVE it! My eventual goal is to live in a Tiny Home or cottage in an intentional community.
